SANTA MONICA, CA, May 19, 2012—ArtLA.com, the world’s most advanced online art platform, connecting artists with collectors, interior designers, galleries, museums and other art professionals in over 100 countries, is proud to announce the launch of it’s ArtLA Academy Summer Series of Classes.
This unique course will enable artists to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business of art, and empower them to deal effectively with every challenge that confronts a professional artist in the pursuit of their passion as a viable career. This innovative course includes lectures from seasoned professional experts in the fields of gallery solicitation, legal protection, successfully marketing art, art logistics, artist statement, bio and resume presentation and much much more.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to ArtLA’s Giving Back initiative, which supports a growing number of charitable organizations that celebrate art as a feature of their work. “My goal is to help as many people as we can, artists and otherwise, with this new exciting endeavor,” said ArtLA Academy Director Mira Feldon.
At the conclusion of the course, each artist will be given the privileged opportunity to exhibit their work in a special Group Show in the main gallery of ArtLA Gallery, located in the world famous Bergamot Station Arts Complex in Santa Monica (now that’s worth putting on a resume!!).
“These courses are a unique opportunity for artists to cultivate their skills and transfer them into a professional setting,” said Gallery owner Heidi Gray, “we want to inspire artists to never give up on their passion by giving them the tools they need to truly succeed”.
